It's Craft Revival time in Thunder Bay, and while it's supposed to be Spring in Thunder Bay, it's raining a lot at the moment. All our songbirds have returned, and the Robins, and lots of geese and Sandhill cranes, so it will get warmer, at some point. Soon, we hope!

Happy Earth Day 2022, The Camellia, Thunder Bay, On

It's Earth Day today, every year on April 22nd., Earth Day marks the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970. No-one can deny that climate change is happening, and that we all have to do our part to protect our Earth. 

Some places are experiencing floods, while other places have problems with droughts. We all love looking at beautiful places, like this lovely meadow of Flowers, and we all have to do what we can to ensure that the Earth remains a beautiful place to live, for generations to come. 

Here at The Camellia,  we sell Cottage Paint, which you can use to redo old Furniture, saving that Furniture from being dumped in the landfill. Planting trees is a good idea, as Trees help renew the Earth. Locally in Thunder Bay, you can purchase seedlings online at Lakehead Region Conservation Authority. https://lakeheadca.com/stewardship/tree-seedling-program

Patio Tablecloths at The Camellia, Summer 2022

Even though we still have lots of snow on the ground, it has to melt at some point, and we can see that a lot of you are getting excited about Patio season! You can notice that some of the trees have enlarged buds and yes, it will be green soon. Maybe your Patio table is looking a little worn, but wait, it can be dressed up with one of our Patio Tablecloths. 

These are made with a hole in the middle, and a zipper up to that hole, so that your Patio umbrella and a tablecloth can co-exist. These are part of our 'Magic Tablecloth" line, they are water repellent, stain resistant, and machine washable. 

Some of the Tablecloths have matching cushions with fillers. Sizes of Tablecloths are : 60" Round, 54" x 72" rectangular, and 60" x 90" rectangular. Not all patterns are available in all sizes.

New Spring and Easter Wreaths, The Camellia, Thunder Bay, Ontario

The calendar tells us it's April, which means Spring is here. Not so today in Thunder Bay, just more wet, sloppy mush and snow. Easter is coming, and it's time to change out your Christmas wreath. Bring on Spring!!

Spring is approaching ... today is the first warmish day, a good day to step outside and do some shopping or go for a walk. It will be a while before we can be dancing among the Spring flowers, but it's coming. It is true, Canadians are obsessed with the weather......when will all this snow melt, and when will it be Spring? I hope the weather is beautiful where you live. 

At this time, we all hope for World peace, and an end to a senseless War. The World is still battling Covid, and now THIS.

March is the month to start your flowers seeds indoors, I usually start Sweet Peas and Morning glories indoors. Every available table near our south-facing windows is usually covered in seed trays. Our Northern Ontario growing season is so short,  which is why we have to start some seeds indoors.
