Hello! It's February in Northern Ontario, and we are in the depths of some really cold weather. It is so cold that your face burns after being outside for a few minutes. What can you do? You can buy yourself flowers....these are Parrot Tulips, and double Tulips. Make your own Spring!

It's time to say Goodbye to 2022, and to welcome a New Year. This Christmas has been better as we could gather for a meal with our Family & friends. The isolation of the last couple of years has been difficult for most of us. This Holiday season we have had extreme cold, and a lot of snow across most of Canada. Thank you to all of you who have supported our small business, The Camellia, this past Year! 

It's almost time to welcome 2023! How are you celebrating? 

Entering 2023, we may resolve to organize our belongings. So many of us misplace our stuff on a daily basis, and waste so much time looking for things. Curtain hooks like the ones above, work quite well to hang up assorted homeless items. It sees like every surface gets cluttered with items, as most of us can't be bothered to put things away. 

We all have creative pursuits we wish we had time for, like Painting. We tell ourselves, when we have done this task, or paid the bills, then we will paint. Creative pursuits have been proven to help our mental health, so it's important to find the time to pursue them.  

Sewing is another creative task that we may wish we had time to pursue. We may resolve to stop endlessly scrolling on social media, which would free up some time to sew. 

Wishing you luck with any changes you would like to make in 2023. Happy New Year! We will see you after Jan. 15th. 2023!

Here we are, a few days away from Christmas! Most of the real Christmas trees for sale in the stores here had some type of moth infestation, so some of us had to cut down a small tree from our backyards. There is nothing quite like the smell of a real Christmas tree! We have lots of snow on the ground here in Thunder Bay.

Do you have lots of snow in your area? There have been a few Snow/Rain/Ice storms in our area, and Summer feels like a distant memory.

We have been making up pots of local Evergreens with Magnolia leaves, to beautify the outside of Homes, offices, and restaurants.

Winter has arrived, it's snowing outside! 

Most of us have been prepping for Winter, buying new Winter boots, finding our Winter toques and scarves, and putting the snow scraper back in our cars. No matter how prepared we are, the first snowfall takes some getting used to. 

It is time to decorate your Home with Winter Wreaths, made from local Evergreens. It is better to pre-order fresh Wreaths from us ahead of when you need them. This Wreath shown above is a beauty, we are waiting on some Red Pine branches. No one wants to venture outside today to pick, with all the snow falling!

Here are some examples of Wreaths we have made for customers. This one is made with cedar, white Pine, Tamarac branches and cones, on a grapevine base.  

A simple Evergreen Wreaths with a velvet heart, is a beautiful Gift for a special family, or person. Call us to order your wreath. 

You can send a Dried Floral design, like this one made with wood roses, and preserved maple leaves, with magnolia, Pampas grass and other dried grasses. These need no water, just place them in a spot away from direct sunlight, which will cause fading. Even if you cannot visit in-person with someone, it still means a lot that you remembered them, and sent them a Gift! We deliver ($)in Thunder Bay, Slate River, and Oliver Paipoonge. Get your orders in early, as Winter storms and snow conditions are now here.
