Spring Home and Garden Show, 2012, The Camellia, Thunder Bay, On

We've been busy making up product for the Garden show. We are so excited about Spring, we wet our plants!! The recent warm weather has helped open up the buds.

Lost of work preparing for Trade shows.

We especially remember today, our Uncle Albert whom we lost yesterday. I would bug him to get me hydrangea blossoms from a certain house which his family used to own. He was always upbeat, and never once said..I don't want to knock on strangers' doors asking for flowers!! We will miss your cheerful face.

Come visit The Camellia at the Spring Home & Garden show at the CLE/Sports Dome which starts this Friday.

Happy Friday! Camellia's , Thunder Bay.

Happy Friday everyone! It's supposed to be plus 21 C tomorrow, so long Snow!! What makes you happy ...? what are you planning for this weekend..? Today I'm just randomly posting some images that make me happy.

Seashells and Faux Coral- always remind me of that beach house in the Caribbean I was supposed to own by now...

Always wanted a bright orange Corvette....

I would love to have these outside my shop...if I didn't haven't have the wildlife around! So urban and sopheeeeeeestecated...!

Green can almost smell the grass after that first lawn -cutting...

If I was getting married again, I would definitely register for these dishes!

Come Visit Camellia's on this fine weekend!! Open Sat. 11-5, Sun. Noon-5.

Planting for a Summer Garden, The Camellia, Thunder Bay, On

It's raining outside, and those of us who are avid Gardeners are starting to get the itch to play in the dirt and plant seeds, and are wondering if the bulbs we planted in the Fall will actually come up..!

However, reality intrudes. Snow still on the ground, piles of paperwork everywhere, cleaning and purging ( again, no-one wants to tackle this). Bills, and , get the picture. I'm sure you have a list of tasks which you should be doing, but don't really want to....

Nothing compares to the smell of Sweet Peas...I started them myself from seeds last Spring.
Back to that nasty list of things I have to to get through it..?
I think of something I really like to do in the Gardening, then I think of how terrible it would be if I was stuck indoors doing all the things on my list which I should have tackled earlier now. This spurs me on, amidst much groaning and sighing.

They smell so good...I should just eat them! Goldens will eat almost anything.

The Sunflower seeds really did transform themselves into mammoth, showy large masterpieces.

Who can resist the blue of Morning Glories?

And Pansies.... brilliant colours. My favourite!!

Red Amaranthus.

Leave a comment below and tell us how you cope with the list of never-ending disagreeable tasks....

Visit Camellia's for Inspiration and a BREATH OF SPRING!!

Open Wed. 11-5, Thurs. Noon-5. Fri. 11-5. Sat. 11-5. Sun. Noon -4.
Hours are subject to change.

Spring duckies

How many of you like ducks? They are my family's favourite creature. I remember driving along on the highway just outside Edmonton, and a family of Mommy and her ducklings decided to go across the highway..everyone in the car yells..oh No! Don't hit the duckies! Luckily it wasn't too busy on the roads and they made it across safely...

They are huddling together for warmth, in the Spring, you can buy them at Dan's Feed Barn in Superior, WI

Our soft Cotton Bedding - come into the store to see our samples. Same soft yellow as the baby ducks. Imagine sinking into a bed made up with these sheets..... To see our Bedding collection, go to:
