Simple Pleasures - Hanging Sheets out to Dry..

One of the Simple Pleasures of Summer is to be able to hang your sheets outside to dry. The smell of laundry which has been hung outside to dry is so nice. Sometimes we're out
of time, and it seems easier to throw the laundry in the dryer....

Here at Camellia's we have a true Lavender Linen spray, which you mist on your pillow before going to bed.

Yes, Summer is truly wonderful and you should feel lucky if you live in the Country, and can hang your laundry outside in the fresh air. Plus you're helping to save the planet by saving energy.

Visit The Camellia: We're OPEN today, Friday until 6p
Sat. June 11th. 11-5
Sun. June 12th. 12-5p.

Mosquito Nets at Camellia's

Aaaaahh...Summer..at last..green grass..Gardening...Rain..Warm weather..
Oh No! Bugs and Mosquitoes.........

One of the most useful tools against Bugs is a Mosquito net. Most people in the Tropics sleep under one. Not to mention how romantic they look above a bed. They usually come in 2 colours ; White & Ivory. They are big enough to fit around a Queen size bed. Need one for a Twin bed? Just use the same size, it will look great. During the day, you simply twist the netting into a bundle, and it tucks neatly out of the way. Great for Camp, no more worrying about if the kids left the door open and invited in some bugs. Mosquito nets will protect you from other creepy-crawlies, like wood ticks. Hang the net from the ceiling, positioning the net in the middle of the bed. Tuck the net all around the bed ( in between the mattress and box spring ), leaving a spot for you to crawl in. Get into bed, then tuck that piece of net in as well, now you can sleep like a baby!
Our moustiquaire has a hoop of 25" around, a fringe around the hoop of 8", and a height of 98".

Price: $39.00

Call Camille to order yours today! As it is Camp season, they are going fast!

Lilacs at The Camellia

Lilacs are an old favourite in a Garden...there are many Lilac bushes around Thunder Bay. These photos were taken recently at our Family's home in Edmonton, Alberta. Here at Camellia's we have French Lilacs, which bloom considerably later than other varieties.

Love the smell of Lilacs? Treat yourself to a wonderful Fresh White Lilac shea butter Lotion. Soft and light, and smells just like a just blooming lilac blossom. Ask for the Farm house White Lilac.

Fresh white Lilac Laundry sachets - use in the dryer to scent your linens or clothing. Each sachet is good for 4 or 5 loads in the dryer.

Of course, if you are lucky enough to have a Lilac bush in your yard, pick a bunch and bring them in! Smashing their wooden stems may help the blooms to take up water easily.

We have a wonderful square tablecloth with Lilacs embroidered on it.

Fresh Lilacs are a real treat! Enjoy them while they last!

Wreaths and Robins at The Camellia, Thunder Bay

All of a sudden, It's hot. Time for the first cutting of the lawn. The first time one can fling open the doors to let the fresh air and the smell of newly mown grass in. The trees on the mountain are developing that nice lime green haze, which means the leaves are opening up.

What's your door wearing? We have a few Spring Willow wreaths left, they are perfect for your front entranceway, and also natural enough to have at Camp.

We have lots of Robins ..they provide us with many hours of chirping and tweeting. Especially at 5.30 am. They usually lead the rest of the birds in a loud outburst of song. When we get up at 7 am , not a tweet to be heard from the birds.

Don't be surprised if a Robin builds a nest in your Wreath. They love natural twigs. Ancient folklore has it that Robins will bring you Good Luck.

We are open here at The Camellia on Thursday, May 19 and Friday May 20th from 11 -6p. Then we will be closed and will reopen on June 1st. p-(807)475-3551

Happy long Weekend to you in Canada!!
